With autumn as a backdrop, this Thursday, October 17, the association Heart2caps was able to enrich his work thanks to the participation of the educational and social community. In Saint-Barthélemy, the local school, the Maison Familiale Rurale (MFR) and the social center are mobilizing together for a meaningful initiative: the collection of plastic caps. The birth of a local initiative

The school of Saint-Barthélemy, with its Rural Family House, and the intercommunal social center L’Île du Battoir in Beaurepaire, have combined their skills to initiate a traffic jam recovery program. The objective was simple: participate in the reduction of plastic waste while supporting the association Heart2caps.
The actors of the collection
Each establishment plays a key role in this project. The school of Saint Barthélemy integrates collection into its educational program, making students aware of ecological issues from an early age. The MFR organizes dedicated days where students and teachers join in the action of sorting the collected corks. As for the social center, it is responsible for mobilizing families and community members to increase the scope of this collection. A fruitful and united harvest
THE last October 17, the Rives branch of the Cœur2bouchons association has reaped the fruits of this effective cooperation. Bags full of corks were happily delivered by the students, proud of their contribution. These corks will be transformed into educational games or urban furniture, a direct extension of this circular economy approach.
A model of mobilization
The Saint-Barthélemy initiative serves as an inspiring model today. Each cork collected symbolizes the humble but powerful gesture of a collective commitment to a more sustainable future. As part of the World Cleanup Day and future global collections, the efforts of this small community show that big actions often start with small gestures.
